Second Model Shoot!

Today I had the privilege of photographing Janine.  She was a lot of fun to work with, and I appreciate her patience with me getting set up.  The weather didn't cooperate, so we did all the shots inside, making for some unique angles, and moving things around.  But all together I think these shots turned out pretty good! I hope she's as happy with them as I am!

Thank you Janine, for letting us capture how beautifully and wonderfully made you are!

Christmas Early

My wife is so amazing.  She let me have my Christmas present early!  She got me an 80-200mm f/2.8 Nikon Lens!  I'm so excited to use it, but I don't have anyone to shoot until later today.  Its like cash burning a hole in my pocket.

Later today I'm shooting an aspiring model for head shots, hopefully I get to maximize the new present!  Until then, here are a few pics I clicked off at the Nashville Christmas Parade.

Thanksgiving Day!

So today we head to friends house to celebrate the blessings God has given us.  I enjoy Thanksgiving, for the food, family, and friends.  And this year, I'm trying to keep in perspective the meaning of this Holiday - to thank God the Creator, and giver of all things for what providence He chooses for each of us.  Its humbling to think God always gives us His best, and the implications of that if He wasn't so gracious.  I am blessed beyond what I deserve, and I know this every day, yet God continues to bless me; how can I not stop and prayerfully thank Him.  So as you sit with your family today, and eat from the bounty of God's grace, thank Him for all that you have, big and small, good and bad - and share with someone about the recipient of your gratitude!

Oh and here are some pictures from last night!  I set up two flashes:  Camera Left: SB900 1/10th power with a shoot through umbrella to light the top side of Josie's, legs and hair.  Camera Right: SB800 1/16th power with a shoot through umbrella to light Josie from the under side.  I used my D90, with a 70-300 f/4.5 lense set at ISO 800; 1/200th sec, f/10.  I need to remember to take pictures of my set ups!  But thats what I did- now I'm off to eat some turkey!
